Ask IRA: Will Bucks or Celtics be favorite Heat rivals in East Finals?

Q: Who is the better matchup for Ira, the Heat, the Bucks or the Celtics? – Dehar.

A: Going to the playoffs, and certainly after the first round, I would have said the Celtics. But he has certainly shown some flaws in his series against the Bucks, which now includes winning Friday in Milwaukee and again on Sunday if they return to Boston. So it might not be so. With the Bucks, however, they are looking great against the Celtics and Khris Middleton is expected to return in the next round, though we don’t know to what extent. Given that Milwaukee only has to win one of the next two, it appears that regardless of the Heat’s preference, it will be the Bucks. Again, based on what the Bucks did against the Heat in the broad first round last year, and how Jimmy Butler was humbled in that first round, and based on the Bucks having to pay PJ Tucker to retain him. At premise, there would be a significant amount of motivation to play Milwaukee.

Q: Kyle can’t wait to get Lowry back. The extra days would definitely help. – Leader.

A: First, let’s not dwell on what Gabe Vincent has achieved as a fill-in starter. He deserves his fair share of the credit. And even with the extra time, Kyle Lowry’s hamstrings will remain unknown until we look differently. Remember, the last time Kyle withdrew from his first hamstring injury, it still wasn’t right when he returned two weeks later. This time there will be a break of eight days. So we’ll have to wait and see.

Question: He silenced everyone. Joel Embiid. James Harden. Ben Simmons. A complete embarrassment. – Nate.

A: First of all, let’s not group Joel Embiid there. He returned from a concussion, played with a mask to protect him from a facial fracture and fractured his thumb due to a ligament tear. You can see why he was one of Jimmy Butler’s favorite teammates. And, um, Ben Simmons was traded to the 76ers in midseason. As far as James Harden is concerned, it will be very, very, very interesting to see how the players of the 76ers give him a dollar and so forth.
