Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the 18th convocation of Tezpur University in Assam on January 22, today. His address will also be here. The Prime Minister will address the function through a video conference from Delhi and will confer degrees and diplomas to the passing students in the year 2020.
“The convocation will be concluded in a mixed manner in which only research students and meritorious students will be present to take their degrees and gold medals, following the guidelines of Covid-19,” the PMO was told. The remaining students will be awarded degrees and diplomas by digital from the university.
A total of 1218 students will be awarded degrees and diplomas at the convocation. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das will also be present on the occasion. The university said that the Governor of Assam and the Chancellor of Tezpur University, Jagdish Mukhi will preside over the convocation and provide degrees and diplomas digitally to the students.
PM will talk to those who get the Corona vaccine in the afternoon
Today is another program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this, he will talk to the people who install Corona Vaccine and its beneficiaries in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, their parliamentary constituency. PM Modi will join this program through video conferencing at 1:15 pm. During this time, the beneficiaries will share their experiences of vaccination with Prime Minister Modi.
According to the information received from the Prime Minister’s Office, in this program, Prime Minister Modi will interact with scientists, politicians, officials as well as those who are playing an important role in running the world’s largest immunization campaign.
