LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES. – Actor and producer Billy Miller, known for his role as Billy Abbott in the American soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” died in a hospital in Texas last Friday, shortly before his 44th birthday.
Miller’s death was confirmed by a statement from his representative. “The actor was battling manic depression when he died,” the statement said.

He was born on September 17, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma but grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. He then studied communications at the University of Texas. He then moved to Los Angeles looking for a job in the entertainment industry.
Growing up, he suffered from a rare condition called tarsal coalition, which affected the cartilage in his ankles.
His first role was as Richie Novak in the series All My Children, an American drama that first aired in 1970 and ran until 2011.
Miller won three Daytime Emmy Awards – two for Outstanding Supporting Actor and one for Outstanding Lead Actor – for his role on “The Young and the Restless.” He appeared on the show from 2008 to 2014 and then appeared on “General Hospital” from 2014 to 2019.
Recently, the actor stood out in the series “Suits,” which aired across Latin America on the Netfilx platform.
Grief over his death
Entertainment celebrities are mourning Miller’s death, especially those who knew and worked with him.
“I am very sad to hear of the passing of Billy Miller. His infectious charm and warmth left a lasting impression on all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives. I’ll miss that mischievous smile. I love you Billy,” wrote the famous Eileen Davidson on her social networks.
“Billy Miller was a talented man with a heart of gold and always lit up the scene with incredible performances. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and everyone who loved him,” they wrote on The Young and the Restless page.
