Prices for existing GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards and AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 models could drop significantly again at the end of August.
As MyDrivers affiliates report, both AMD and Nvidia are said to be preparing for “radical” price reductions for existing graphics cards for gamers. The list of current graphics cards is so long and it is said to begin production of the next generation of graphics cards that new buyers can only be found by reducing the price.
At Nvidia, the price reduction must be high enough to give dealers the opportunity to still be able to sell graphics cards profitably with new discount campaigns. According to Nvidia, graphics card sales fell about 44 percent in the last quarter, which will also affect the company’s general business figures. It has already been confirmed that the company plans to re-adjust the prices of its own graphics cards to be able to reduce inventory.
Allies are yet to respond to more precise details about which graphics cards will already be reduced in price at the end of August and how precise the price reduction will be. Prices for high-end graphics cards have been cut by more than half in some cases over the past eight months, so that further reductions in prices could make for a real bargain. It remains to be seen to what extent the dealers and board partners will pass on the price reduction to the customers.
