Audi started the year really well on a commercial level, both in global terms and in Spain. In our country, for example, sales in March will increase by 40 percent compared to the same period of the previous month. And to add more food to the grill, the launch of the Audi Q8 e-tron begins.
In 2018, the brand with four rings made a 180-degree turn in its design to put its first electric SUV on the market. It was an Audi e-tron and two years later we saw how its Sportback body was born. Now five years later, the function of electricity is renewed in this new model.

Only electric motors are available
The largest German premium SUV is completely renewed, at the same time that it changes its name as well. The Audi Q8 e-tron is now, it will be sold only with electric motors and in two variants the body had the first e-tron. On the one hand an SUV with more space and on the other a sportier Sportback.
Of course, pregnant women have not tried anything new, quite the opposite. Perhaps it is more like inexplicable. The main changes are found in the front, where there are new sun visors, Audi singleframe light, four new body colors and, above all, the front grille where the four circles are already in flat support (the main feature of the new creation).

At the back of this electric car, a new diffuser stands out, while the digitization of the interior takes place, where all functions are controlled by two touch panels and the clock box allows different viewing methods. In addition, it collects important information to be presented in the look and chooses synthetic leather as the standard for the upholstery of the seats.
Three power options are presented by Audi for the new Q8 e-tron. The first 50 is set, with the car engine 350 increasing the autonomy of 487 kilometers, which means 45% more than the previous one. And it happened that the engineers worked a lot on batteries until they occupied 20 percent more capacity in the same space.
It reaches 1,000 Nm of maximum torque
At the top of the range is the Q8 e-tron S (equivalent to the Audi SQ8), with an electric motor that exceeds 100 horsepower and impresses with a torque of 973 Nm, almost 1,000 Nm! Because of this, it can drop more than five seconds when accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, while its autonomy is 465 kilometers. Like the rest of the range, the recharge time (in a live shot) is 31 minutes for 80 percent.
And right in the center of the gun is the Audi Q8 e-tron 55, which is what I was able to drive on the hilly journey between Bilbao and Cantabria. It produces 408 horsepower and its approved autonomy is close to 600 kilometers, while it remains at 576.
Through this contact it became clear that it is very capable of moving with great agility and that the real autonomy is close to the promises under common driving conditions. The consumption achieved is 22.3 kWh/100 km.
The car is very comfortable both for the work done by the suspensions and for the sensational passenger island, something that Audi has already accustomed us to in all its models. Of course, the weight (at 2,585 kilos) ends up being noticed when the car slows down, especially down to the port. Moreover, for the size of its rivals, it is less heavy.
Hear the Q8 e-tron price and future plans
Little by little, this fight will go down with the scale, especially since Audi has made clear its intention to release only electric cars from 2026 and to stop production of its combustion engines in 2033. José Miguel Aparicio, asked by its director general, if the European Union’s plan to save energy on synthetic fuels beyond 2035 will change its policy, it is clear that he does not know. Although, yes, it requires a stable framework of measures to have the ability to decide, with clear rules of the game.
At the moment, Audi has already announced that in 2024 it will launch a new fully electric model, the Audi Q6 e-tron. This also confirms that the nomenclature used is electrical.
