In a recent appearance on ESPN’s ‘The Lowe Podcast’ with host Zach Lowe, Lakers player Austin Reaves opened up about the rumors that linked him romantically to iconic singer Taylor Swift. The young player emphasized his preference for a careful lifestyle and clarified that there is no truth in the speculations that are circulating.
“I am a simple person who likes to keep all my activities in a low profile,” he said. Austin Reaves. “I mean, she’s literally amazing… the music, what she’s done for her career. Her fans are literally the best fans in the world. But yeah, not for me. I’m happy where I am.”
Since there is no basis for claiming a relationship between them, Reaves also answered the question if he and Swift’s teams had any kind of communication to stop the rumors.
“I don’t think there was any communication,” Reaves replied. “And maybe I don’t know it because I’m so small. That’s unexpected. I don’t go out. I’m a house person. For me to be in a bar at first is crazy. And for him to be in Arkansas, I think so too.”
This isn’t the first time Reaves has denied these rumors. Last July, in an appearance on the podcast ‘All The Smoke’ with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, the player completely denied any relationship with Taylor Swift.
“I’ve never met her, I’ve never talked to her,” said the player. Los Angeles Lakers at that time. “It’s all a lie. They said we were in a bar in Arkansas. That’s crazy. It’s not true.”
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was recently spotted at Arrowhead Stadium, watching a football game where the Kansas City Chiefs, and their star tight end, Travis Kelce, took on the Chicago Bears and cruised to a 41-10 victory.
On the other hand, Austin Reaves has just finished his participation in the FIBA World Cup 2023 as a member of Team USA. Although the American team finished in fourth place in the tournament, Reaves proved his worth on the court, averaging 13.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in eight exciting games.
