In Australia, two positive corona tests led to an unusually long date. Videos on the TikTok platform showed how the duo mastered the situation – much to the delight of thousands of users.
Typically, a first meeting on a dating app like Tinder goes like this: Two people make an appointment for several hours and then watch as the contact develops. In Australia, on the other hand, the first Tinder date took an unusually long time: a woman had just met a man and moved in with him seven days apart.
According to the British newspaper “Independent”, Sarah Henley and her date had previously tested positive for the corona virus. She posted her story in a series of videos on the TikTok platform. The first reportedly garnered 13 million views before it was taken down. The video shows how Henley and her date spent time doing sports, laundry and drinking, among other things.
It is not clear why the two decided to spend the separation together. Henley wrote in the comments that “for personal reasons” the separation alone was not possible.
Thousands of comments under the video
The video gained immense popularity on Tiktok and got thousands of comments. For example, one user wrote: “A true love story”. “Please tell me you’re going to continue dating?” Another comment said. Others wrote that the two could test such a potential relationship for free for seven days.
