About 9000 Kiss fans experienced a spectacle at the Wiener Stadthalle on 26 June. The event, as usual, saw fire, blood and awkward staging. In the end, though, there was an embarrassingly wrong move. Not the Austrian flag, but the Australian flag was visible in the farewell greeting on the screen.
The concert ended at around 11 pm. As Austrian media reported, Kiss ended her performance with the song “God Gave Rock ‘n’ Roll to You II” and erupted into applause, which quickly turned to laughter. The video wall reads “We love you Vienna” with the Australian flag in the background.
Ui, KISS probably scrolled too little across countries. pic.twitter.com/WZO7lK1z1O

Kiss hasn’t commented on the incident yet. There was also no major backlash from the Austrian side – the small country without kangaroos is accustomed to being confused with Australia anyway. Lack of geography knowledge is forgiven.
Hard Rockers will certainly continue. The band is currently touring the world for their “End of the Road Tour”. After that it should end. “The last thing you want to be is a world-class boxer who’s been in the ring for too long,” explained bassist Gene Simmons.
