The participants were informed about the importance of transport routes through Central Asia and the South Caucasus and, in this regard, about the important works being carried out for the development of regional transport and transit corridors of Azerbaijan. In addition, it was stated that trilateral forums have been established with Turkey, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to promote cooperation in the above directions. During his speech, the minister stressed the importance of the measures taken to build a transport corridor from Azerbaijan’s Eastern Zangazur Economic Zone to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He pointed out that the Zangazur corridor would be of special importance for the development of cooperation among all countries in the region.
In addition to the above, the work done by Azerbaijan in the field of energy security was also explained in detail.
