Baja California has vaccines from the universal program to protect the health of children and adolescents

“We have supplies in all communities, so we invite all families to ensure that their daughters and sons receive these vaccinations and follow the basic vaccination schedules. You just have to go to the nearest health unit and request it,” he commented.

Currently, the Ministry of Health, as well as the entire health sector in Baja California, has BCG vaccines against meningeal tuberculosis, hepatitis B, vaccines against poliomyelitis, measles, rubella, mumps and diphtheria. Whooping cough, tetanus, pneumococcus and rotavirus.

There is also the campaign against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which is aimed at girls in the 5th, 6th grades of primary school and 1st grade of secondary school as well as 11, 12 and 13 year olds who do not go to school.

Thanks to the Universal Vaccination Program, a total of 388,406 doses were administered to newborns, children, adolescents and pregnant women in Baja California at the end of August.

Medina Amarillas emphasized that vaccines are the effective means of preventing diseases in girls, boys, adolescents and adults, which is why the vaccination program is permanent and available free of charge in health centers, hospitals and clinics across the sector.
