Bajaj Auto recently reopened the booking of its famous electric scooter Bajaj Chetak. However, within 48 hours of starting the booking, the company closed its booking again. The company claims that the scooter has received a very good response from customers and bookings have been canceled due to high demand.
According to the information received by the company, booking of the scooter will be resumed in the near future depending on the supply situation. Commenting on the customer response, Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “We are delighted to see the great response we have received since we started booking for luxury electric scooters in Pune and Bangalore.”

Scooters become expensive: Today the company has increased the price of its Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. The price of this scooter has increased by Rs 27,000. Now after this price hike, the price of this scooter has gone up by Rs 1,42,620 (former showroom, Pune). This is the second time this year that the price has been increased. Earlier in March, the company had increased the price by about Rs 5,000.
This scooter uses a 3 kW battery pack and a 4.08 kW electric motor. The scooter comes with two different driving modes including Sport and Echo mode. The company claims that this scooter provides a maximum driving limit of 95 km in eco mode while in sport mode it can be driven up to 85 km. The scooter’s battery takes about 5 hours to fully charge and with a fast charging system, it can be charged up to 25 percent in just 1 hour.
