Bjorn Baker is keen to strike while the iron is hot and execute another valuable Melbourne feature raid with She’s Ideel in Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington.
Baker’s Warwick Farm yard is coming off a stellar weekend with three feature race wins across two tracks in a matter of hours last Saturday.
Two of those triumphs came at Flemington with the emerging star Overpass and consistent sprinter Malkovich both enjoying big days out.
Overpass got the party started with a strong display to claim the $750,000 Inglis Sprint before the talented Malkovich returned to winning ways in the Listed ATA/Bob Hoysted Handicap.

Belluci Babe capped off the big occasion when dominating the last at Randwick, capturing the Group 3 Wenona Girl Quality for the stable.
This weekend the stable’s feature race assault will be headlined by She’s Ideel, who will chase a maiden Group 1 in Melbourne.
“Things are going really well so let’s hope we can continue the roll on,” Baker said.
“We’ve got a great team backing me up and some nice horses at the moment that are helping make me look good.
“She’s Ideel will go to the Australian Cup. She’s staying at Cranbourne and we’ve booked Jamie Kah to ride.”
She’s Ideel ran in the Melbourne Cup at her last visit to Flemington in November, finishing 10th in the two-mile staying test.
The daughter of Dundeel will take on the Australian Cup third-up kicking off her campaign in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes before rattling home second-up to finish a narrow second behind Verry Elleegant in the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes.

“We are really happy with her last run and thought she could do it,” Baker said.
“First up she can be a bit lax so we put the blinkers straight on her second up for the Chipping Norton.
“We didn’t think she was out of the race and thankfully she was back to her best.
“It (Australian Cup) looks like it’s going to be a tough race but she is ready to run well.”
She’s Ideel is rated a $21 chance in All-In betting with the TAB for the Australian Cup with Think It Over the $4 favorite.
Baker plans to return to Sydney after the Australian Cup for the Group 1 Tancred Stakes on March 26 at Rosehill, a race She’s Ideel finished second in last year.
Stablemate Parry Sound was among early nominations for the Australian Cup but the stable is likely to head to next Monday’s Canberra Cup instead.
