Baku, Azerbaijan, April 22. The conditions created in Azerbaijan open up great opportunities for the training of athletes, said Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Mariana Vasileva, Trend reports.
Vasilyeva made this statement during the opening ceremony of FIG rhythmic gymnastics
“We welcome each of you to the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup. Today Baku is hosting another big competition. Our government pays a lot of attention and attention to sports in our country. Therefore, the success of our sports is increasing, gymnastics in Azerbaijan is developing from year to year, ”she said.
Vasileva noted that the conditions created in our country provide great opportunities for the training of athletes, as well as for the organization of various international competitions at a high level.
“Today, the National Gymnastics Arena is the preferred gymnastics facility not only for national gymnasts but also for many gymnasts from abroad. Athletes from all continents choose our Arena with great enthusiasm for training and competitions. Today, Baku is the world’s premier Gymnastics is one of the centers,” said Vasilyeva.
In his words, all this has been possible because of the care shown by the Azerbaijani government towards the game.
“We are grateful to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the first Vice President of our country, the President of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Mehriban Aliyeva for this care and such great conditions. Thank you all again and I wish all the participants success !” Vasilieva said.
He expressed confidence that the next few days will see interesting and colorful performances.
