Ban removed from old petrol-diesel vehicles, relief given by the government, challan will no longer be deducted

There is big news regarding lifting of ban on 10 year old diesel and 15 year old petrol vehicles. The government has given relief to the vehicle owners who come under the scope of this ban. In fact, this relief has been given by the Haryana government. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had recently said that the ban on operation of 10-year-old diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles has been imposed only on autos in Gurugram and nowhere else.

The Chief Minister had informed that in the first phase, 10 years old diesel autos and 15 years old petrol autos will be removed from the roads of Gurugram and the government has already negotiated with the auto drivers associations in this regard.

Manohar Lal Khattar said that the government has not taken any decision to remove the old vehicles in any other city and the government is working on a plan to provide relief to the people living in other districts coming under the NCR. He also said that bringing Karnal out of NCR was a long pending demand of the people and the boundaries of NCR would be redefined by limiting it to a radius of 100 kilometers of the national capital.

Ban on old vehicles issued in Delhi

Old vehicles are still banned in Delhi. No relief has been given by the government or the administration. NGT has banned diesel and 15 year old petrol vehicles in Delhi for more than 10 years. To prevent these vehicles from becoming junk, the Delhi government has given the option of obtaining NOC for retro fitment and registration of vehicles in other cities of the country. Older vehicles will be able to be re-registered in cities where these trains are not banned.

5% discount on new car purchase

If the owner of the vehicle wants to use the vehicle even after the period of 10 and 15 years, then he has to get the fitness certificate of the vehicle. If the vehicle fails this fitness test, it will be scrapped. If you are scraping an old vehicle, customers will get a 5 per cent discount on showing their certificate when buying a new car. Apart from this registration of new vehicle will also be waived, which is around Rs. 50,000. If you are buying a car worth Rs. 5 lakhs, you will get a discount of Rs.
