As with any emergency, children are always the most vulnerable. In Morocco, at least 100,000 children suffered the effects of the earthquake and entire families were displaced by the earthquake and are in urgent need of assistance, including psychosocial support. For its part, in Libya, Storm Daniel has killed more than 5,000 people, about 10,000 are missing, there are at least 20,000 internally displaced people living in schools and 7,000 people stranded in remote areas. places.
Starting this Wednesday, September 13, BBVA has made free transfers for individuals to Morocco and Libya under 5,000 euros as a measure to help against the disasters experienced by these countries.
UNICEF will allocate all proceeds from BBVA clients in their Emergency Fund, where it responds to humanitarian emergencies including, increasingly, those caused by natural disasters caused by climate change. This funding allows UNICEF to respond to the most urgent needs of families in the first hours after any emergency situation, care for children trapped in protracted and forgotten crises, and support those country that is more prepared and can reduce the impact of disasters.
BBVA also allows free transfers for individuals in Morocco and Libya of less than 5,000 euros as a measure to help against the disasters experienced in these countries.
