BC Enterprise Online joins forces to oppose the upcoming vaccine card plan

A group of business owners in British Columbia are uniting online to oppose the province’s upcoming COVID-19 vaccination certification program.

Sean Cahill, who owns a woodworking company, created a Facebook group BC Enterprise Opposes Health PassIt brings together local businesses and all like-minded individuals, who all consider the vaccination passport unconstitutional.

“A lot of companies are frustrated. They have gone through a lot of lockdowns and other coercive measures that are increasingly invading people’s lives,” Cahill told The Epoch Times.

“Once you get to that point, once you cross that threshold, it sets a precedent for the government and elected officials, allowing them to become more interfering in our lives… Eventually it will reach too many points.”

Cahill’s Facebook group aims to “promote the connection between people and businesses” while advocating individuals to choose whether to vaccinate.

“It is beyond our scope to ask people about their medical history when they walk in the door. Companies should have a personal choice to decide whether this is something I really want to do or not. Then you should have yours [patrons’ permission] as well as. They should have a personal choice to decide whether they want to do it or not,” Cahill said.

Starting September 13, all people born in 2009 or earlier will be required to show Vaccination certificate Fight against COVID-19 to access certain events, services, and businesses, such as restaurants, cinemas, gyms, swimming pools, and indoor concerts, weddings, and conferences.People must get at least one dose of the vaccine by September 13 and fully vaccinated by October 24——Meaning they must have Take two doses at least 7 days ago.

Sarah Roat, the founder of another Facebook group, People in British Columbia oppose the pass, Saying that the vaccine passport system “violates our human rights” and will have a negative impact on citizens, businesses and communities.

“One of the concerns is that it violates our medical privacy. Any medical procedures or choices we make with our doctors should be kept confidential. We should not share our privacy with companies — they should not know if we have a vaccine, “She said in an interview.

Rovat said that the vaccine passport system also violated people’s rights to “life, freedom, personal safety and property enjoyment” stipulated in the “Convention.” Canadian Bill of Rights.

She said that Facebook group members are sending government and health officials, school boards, and corporate employers notifications of responsibilities regarding mandatory vaccination and wearing masks.

Lowatt criticized Dr. Bonnie Henry of British Columbiaof Provincial health officials because she violated her promise not to implement a mandatory vaccination program.

“On May 25 this year, Bonnie Henry says This virus shows us that there is injustice in our society, [that] We would never recommend the use of vaccine passports to increase inequality,” she said.

“Then, just over a week ago, they suddenly said that we were applying for a vaccine passport. It didn’t get a vote—it’s totally undemocratic.”

Both Cahill and Rowat are aware that the language used by members of the language group on Facebook related to the COVID-19 vaccine may cause them to be kicked off the social media platform, so they need to be extra careful.

“Please do not use any iconic words that would make us banned. For example, Vax, vaccines, vaccines, masks, covid, etc. Please use health status instead,” a notice on the Cahill group’s Facebook page warned.

Rovat said the administrators of her group “must approve all posts.”

“We have received a warning from Facebook that if people post, quote, or quote false information on Facebook that the fact checker believes, our group will be closed.”
