Be-in-g, 5G . ‘Start-up’ born from and for

“So far, mobile networks have been targeted towards consumers. 5G, on the other hand, is designed more for business use,” says Juan Luis Tolosa, executive director and partner at the emerging company Be-in-g. Tolosa refers to the fifth generation of mobile phone technologies, known as 5G. business opportunities that this new technology represents, that’s why the factory of start-up 5G ventures and consulting firm NAE established Be-in-g in September 2021. The company’s name is already quite a declaration of intent: it means “to be in the living” in English.

“We see the advent of 5G as a change in other mobile technologies. It is a technology that enables other technologies, such as drone management, virtual reality or augmented reality, and is more aimed at replacing processes, for example, industrial ones”, explains Tolosa. -in-g’s target audience. Currently, the start-up is trying to capture its first customers and in January next year, they plan to conduct the first market trial. Their first target destination will be Spain, where they Initially wanting to validate the business model, but in 2023 they already plan to make the leap to Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

“5G private networks are still a very early market in Spain. There are very few, but exponential growth is expected. There will come a time when, practically everyone has a Wi-Fi network, companies will have their own 5G network” , argues the executive director of the company. In anticipation of this exponential growth, Be-in-G is assembling a team to be ready when the time comes. “We will end the year with four people, but the idea is to grow to 12 throughout 2023”, indicates Tolosa. In terms of billing forecasts, the executive director states that he plans to have a turnover of over half a million euros in the next financial year.

Based in Barcelona, ​​Be-in-g started with an initial investment of €300,000, contributed by the founding partners.
