Because of America, Syahganda Nainggolan told Rizik Shihab free, Aziz: I must have proof

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Rizik Shihab’s lawyer or HRS, Aziz Yanuar, responded to allegations by Syahganda Nainggolan, President of the Sabang Merauke Circle (SMC) Public Studies Institute (SMC), regarding the involvement of the United States in Rizik Shihab’s parole.

Aziz said the allegation was baseless as Rijik Shihab’s conditional release was in accordance with clear legal procedures. Based on the legal administration, he said, Rizik did indeed meet the requirements to be released from the Sipining Detention Center.

“So this Habib meets the requirements. Lawyers and Habib’s team took 2 facilities set out in Permenkumham No. 7 of 2022 regarding exemptions,” said Aziz in the South Jakarta region on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

According to Aziz, his party has taken parole twice as well as exemption facility. He said that taking the facility was calculated from the 3 counts that Rizik committed until he was eventually sent to prison.

The first is the mob case in Megamendung for which fines have been paid, and detained since August 2021. From there, Aziz said, Rizik served 1 year in prison until August 2022.

He said, “Since we were in remission, we went ahead for 2 months. Still, if we had served two-thirds of the jail term, we could have applied for parole. We have followed all the procedures. ,” They said.

Therefore, he said, Rizik was granted parole on July 20, 2022. After that, he said that Rizik’s expiration period was scheduled to end on July 10, 2023, and that he then entered a probationary period until July 10, 2024.

He said, “It means everything is according to procedure. So if there are speculations, there are speculations about mangosteen fruit, these allegations (with the help of America) are really every citizen’s right.”

Rizik’s camp can’t deny Sayaganda Ninggolan’s allegations

Nevertheless, Aziz admitted that he could not deny the allegation that Rizik could be released on parole because of pressure from the United States government on the Indonesian government as stated by Syahganda Ninggolan. Because he has no proof.

“If I deny, of course I must have proof, now I’ll just have legal evidence. For example, if I get refutation information from official Americans or something, I’ll be able to tell I can,” said. Aziz.

Sayaganda Nainggolan threw out the allegations in a webinar discussion titled ‘The Liberation of HRS and the Future of Indonesian Justice’ organized by Katha Sansthan on Friday, July 22, 2022.

ITB activists in the 80s, who were imprisoned by the Suharto and Jokowi regimes, said their suspicions were based on a human rights issue issued by the United States State Department earlier this year, in which the HRS case was referred to as the Great as was included. The leader of the Muslims as well as the political leader for the Muslims. ,

“Hence, the HRS was issued in response to the release of the US State Department on human rights issues and also related to the shooting of FPI soldiers on KM 50,” Sayahganda Nainggolan was quoted as saying by Antara.
