Ben Foden praises ex-wife Una Healy, who raised her ‘lovely and tender’ children

Ben Foden has praised his ex-wife Una Healy for raising their ‘sweet and tender’ children after their divorce in 2018.

The professional rugby player, 36, shares Tadgh, 6, and Aoife, 9, with former members of The Saturday Band, 40, and claims it is thanks to him that they turned out so well.

He told The Mirror: ‘I always take my hat off to Una. She’s raised kids on her own for the past few years, and they’re great kids, very loving and gentle, and intelligent too – and they definitely don’t get that from me.

Ben tied the knot with his second wife Jackie Smith Foden in 2019 after two weeks of marriage and welcomed their daughter Farah the following year.

He continued: ‘Jackie is obsessed with Farah, she has changed her whole outlook on life. And she is a wonderful stepmother to the other two.’

Ben is set to compete with professional partner Robin Johnstone in the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice, which begins Sunday.

Regan is a 4-1 second favorite with the show starting this weekend, with Liberty and Kimberly tied 5-1 in third.

Brendan will take to the ice with veteran pro Vanessa, who was previously crowned series champion alongside Jake Quickenden.

This year’s celeb contestants will make their debut on the ice at the live launch show this Sunday, with ITV hoping there will be fewer injuries than last year’s chaotic series.
