New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals player and England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the IPL after suffering a hand injury. Ben has returned to England, but he is closely watching every match.
Ben Stokes on Sunday trolled commentator and former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar for his commentary in a match played between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS).
It happened that in the 11th over of Punjab’s innings, Delhi storm bowler Kagiso Rabada gave 20 runs. Mayank Agarwal hit two sixes in the over. After this, Punjab captain KL Rahul hit a six off the third ball.
Sunil Gavaskar then said in the commentary box that Rabada should have thrown a bouncer over the off stump. He said that this is a bad delivery because if you have to put a bouncer, it should be thrown over the off stump.
Stokes, who was watching the match, saw in the replay that the bouncer line was directly above the off stump. After this Ben Stokes beat his head. Actually, Stokes wanted to say through this that brother, this Rabada did what you were thinking, then how was this poor delivery!
In this match, the Delhi team defeated Punjab by six wickets. Batting first, the Punjab team scored 195 runs for four wickets. After this, the Delhi team achieved this goal with 10 balls remaining. Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan and Stoinis played stormy innings for Delhi. Dhawan smashed 92 runs off 49 balls.
