Nearing the halfway point of the NFL’s regular season, it’s nice to feel like there’s still some “set it and forget it” week 9 playing to the imagination. These are my best bets for finding the end zone.
rushing back
James Conner, cardinals
Conner maintains a 55.05% TD dependency over 98 as the goal-line for Arizona, scoring eight touchdowns in eight games. To put this in context, D’Andre Swift has 90 carries and only 30.49% TD dependencies, and James Robinson has 88 carries and only 32.79% TD dependencies. The Cardinals face the 49ers this week, so Connor is a safe bet to find last field once again.
Jonathan Taylormilf coltso
With a healthy 31.96% TD dependency, Taylor is the perfect combination of goal-line skill and open-field pace, playing Indianapolis’ 75% offensive snap. Taylor has scored in five matches in a row, and he could make it six as the Colts go up against a Jets team that has given RB the most imaginary points this season.
Austin Ekeler, Charger
Eckeler hasn’t reached the end zone in just two games this season, which is a laudable achievement. The Chargers have learned that neither Justin Jackson, Larry Routry nor Joshua Kelly are better bets for breaking the goal line than Eckler. In Week 9, he will challenge the Eagles team which is our second best matchup for RB, which has allowed them nine TDs in 2021.
Josh JacobsMILF raiders
Jacobs has been under the radar for most of the season, but in one game he has appeared. He injured his chest in Week 7, but he had a bye to recovery, and the Raiders will need him more than ever now that Henry Rugs has been released. Jacobs gets a bottom-tier run defense at the Giants this week.
Nazi HarrisMILF Steelers
Harris has scored in each of the last five weeks and is perhaps the most consistently productive member of the Steelers offense this season. With an 84% snap percentage in Week 8, Pittsburgh is leaning on him more than ever, and he’ll face a mid-Chicago defense this week that dropped only 137 yards and Eli Mitchell a TD in Week 8.
wide receiver
Cooper Kupp, Ramso
Cooper Kupp is in a position to take a lead of more than 95 yards in 2021 and score at least once in six of eight games. Kupp is the best bet to score in any given week, now that Derrick Henry is out for several weeks, and in what is a perfect storm for fantasy production, he will go up against a Titans team that scored WR the most fantasy points. Allowed in week 9.
jammer chase, bengals
Chase is not only the best rookie WR ever this year, he’s probably the best overall WR. Kupp gets more goals and fantasy points, but as far as efficiency goes, no one is touching the chase right now. The rookie has only reached double-digit goals twice this season, and they were less than double digits (10) as you can get, yet they have scored the second most fantasy points for WR this season – Including seven TDs. He faces Cleveland’s secondary this week.
marquee brownmilf ravenso
The Browns have a unique grasp for the end zone, scoring six TDs in eight games this season. He’s got a 38.67% TD dependency on just 37 receptions, and he’ll face a Vikings team this week that’s allowed him to get nine TDs this season – our ninth best matchup to oppose WR.
deonte johnsonMILF Steelers
Johnson has scored in half of the matches he has played so far, scoring double-digit goals in all but one game this season. On the field for 92% of the Steelers’ snaps, Johnson will have plenty of opportunities to capitalize on against a Bears defense that’s the fifth-best matchup to opposing WRs this season.
AJ BrownMILF Titans
Now that Derrick Henry has been out for several weeks, Brown has become even more integral to the Titans’ offense moving forward. Considering that he has more than 133 yards and has scored in one game after another, his ability is staggering. Perhaps opposing teams focus more on him now that they don’t have Henry to worry about, but Brown is quick and powerful enough to be open against any defender and it’s unlikely he’ll snap any offensive. will leave the field for The Titans have a strong Rams defense this week, but they can be rounded through the air.
