The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in the Indian market. Over the years, several leading automakers have introduced more than one electric model. Tata Motors looks very excited in this matter, in the past, the company introduced its new Tigor EV electric sedan. This is the company’s second electric car which is based on Ziptron technology.
Hyundai Kona: The first name on our list is the electric SUV Kona of South Korea’s leading automaker Hyundai. The company introduced this SUV in the market last year. In this SUV, the company has used a battery pack of 39.2 kWh capacity. The electric motor given in it generates 136 PS of power and 394.9 Nm of torque.
The company claims that this SUV gets charged up to 80 percent in just 60 minutes and in a single charge, this SUV provides a driving range of up to 452 km. Its price ranges between Rs 23.79 lakh to Rs 23.97 lakh.
Tata Nexon EV: The country’s largest automaker Tata Motors has recently introduced the electric avatar of its Nexon SUV. In this, the company has used a battery pack of 30.2 kWh capacity. The electric motor given in it generates power of 129 PS and torque of 245 Nm. In a single charge, this car offers a driving range of up to 312 km. Its price ranges from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.85 lakh.
Tata Tigor EV: This electric car from Tata Motors was earlier available only to fleet operators, but now it can also be bought by private owners. The biggest update for the new Tigor EV is seen on the powertrain front, which is now equipped with the company’s Ziptron EV powertrain. The car has a 26 kWh capacity Lithium Ion battery pack, which is IP67 water and weather proof. Along with this, the company is also giving a warranty of 8 years and 160,000 km.
The company claims that this car will give a driving range of up to 306 km on a single charge, which is certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The entry level XE+ variant of this car is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh.
MG ZS EV: The electric SUV ZS from leading British automaker Morris Garages can also be a better option for you. The company launched this car in the market last year. In this, the company has given a battery pack of 44.5 kWh capacity, which generates power of 142 bhp and torque of 353 Nm. The company claims that this car gives a range of up to 419 km in a single charge.
With the fast charging system, this car’s battery can be charged up to 80 percent in just 50 minutes. In terms of features, it has been given a panoramic sunroof, heated outside rear view mirror (ORVM’s), tire pressure monitoring, rain-sensing wipers, wide touchscreen and connectivity interface. Its price ranges from Rs 20.99 lakh to Rs 24.58 lakh.
