Best NBA Prop Bets for Sunday, July 5: Otto Porter stays hot; Fed Jaylen Brown and Jordan Poole in Game 2

The sports world will turn its attention to the NBA on Sunday night for Game 2 of the final between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.

I’ve already shared some of my bets for this game, but I’m going heavy with three different picks in Game 2.

Whom should we trust and whom should we trust?

Best NBA prop bets record ever

Here’s what I dramatize for tonight’s slate with all odds via WynnBET:

Best NBA Prop Bets Today

  • Jaylen Brown (-125) under 24.5 points
  • Otto Porter Jr. over 6.5 points (-120)
  • Jordan Poole (-105) under 13.5 points

Jaylen Brown (-125) under 24.5 points

Jaylen Brown scored exactly 24 points in Game 1, hitting this number under her prop, and as long as the oddsmakers keep hanging on to this line at 24.5, I’m going back to the well.

In 19 playoff games, the Browns have scored 24.5 points only five times and have failed to clear this number in seven of their last nine games.

The Celtics are going to get brown touches and shots, but it’s hard to fade the trend after it hit such a high clip this post season.

Otto Porter Jr. over 6.5 points (-120)

Otto Porter Jr. played a big role for the Warriors in Game 1, and he drilled four three-pointers en route to the 12-point game.

Even though Porter Jr. doesn’t see a ton of volume in terms of shots, he’ll need to play more for Golden State in Game 2 because of his defense.

In his last seven playoff games, Porter has cleared this number five times, scoring in double digits in each of those games. I think he lets loose tonight for another solid performance.

Jordan Poole (-105) under 13.5 points

At the start of the playoffs, I was the biggest Jordan Poole supporter, but he has faded of late and may need to spend more time on the bench in Game 2.

Pool 1 was a liability on the defense in the game, and the Warriors could not afford to give Boston easy points, especially if the pool was not scoring.

Pool 1 was a minus-19 in 25 minutes in the game, and I don’t think a potentially reduced role gives him a ton of handy buckets against this Boston team.
