A few days ago, the Movadef teachers’ party called Fenatep-Peru indicated that it would continue its fight alone – the beginning of the school year was brought back – against the popular order that began in December 2022 after the events of Pedro Castello. They had left the Central General Workers of Peru (CGTP); from the Magisterium Bloque, the seat that represented their interests in the Congress, and from Sutep – Red Country, with whom they have an old dispute for the teaching profession.

The fracture of Fenatep is due to the position vis-a-vis the Bloc of Teachers, where there are teachers who were previously part of the “people’s struggle” and today enjoy the benefits that the legislative power gives them and do not want. to release: one of whom was Edgar Tello, the most eminent.
“Tello is a traitor,” Professor Fenatep told Peru21 and he, to confirm it, sent a legislator from the Bloc Magisterium. “The words of the 1993 Constitution established five-year terms for both Congress and the President,” Tello said in a February statement on the Lost Degrees Congress. These words of Edgar Tello placed him in the crosshairs of his former fighting comrades, who had not yet had the fortune of passing through Congress; They consider him a traitor and, according to Fenatep’s source, ask the teachers to declare him a “persona non grata”. In 2017, Tello was a key piece of the Try – Movadef masters strike led by Pedro Castello to be successful.
Such is the anger of Fenatep towards the former members of the Magisterium Bloc, that they accused them “to draw snakes, to preserve their own positions.”

FROM TRY TO FENATEP
What Fenatep does not seem to mention is his origins. Congressman Edgar Tello himself, in a letter sent to this newspaper in December of last year, confirmed that Fenatep is the result of the conversion of the old Conare-Sutep, a party of doctors Sendero Luminoso, which arose in 2003 and years after Movadef. to try to have a presence in the political life of the republic. “Try – Sutep was the union that now gave way to Fenatep,” the legislator told Perú21.
By 2003, Sutep had approximately 300,000 national teachers. But not everyone is happy to be ruled by the Communist Party of Peru Patria Roja. The extreme party that year decided to split off and channel anti-Patria Roja sentiment into CONARE, the Sutep National Reorganization and Reconstitution Committee, which was then led by Roberto Huaynalaya, representing Puka Llaqta (the party that was formerly Patria Roja; but which left in 1980 to join Sendero Luminoso) , and Iber Maraví, representing the Sendero Luminoso political party.
But in Conare there was also a struggle for power, and accusations of treason were not wanting. In 2008 the division ended: the party of Roberto Huaynalaya accused the party of Iber Maraví of being “enemies of the restoration process”. In the same year from Ayacucho, the SL political party made a plan to expel Puka Llaqta from Conare.
Since then, a series of leaders have planned to continue to take Sutep’s plan and the money they manage in Spill Mastery, with the aforementioned Edgar Tello. In 2017, after a strike that lasted more than three months and was led by Pedro Castello, a professor from Cajamarca who had served as the regional leader of Conare – Sutep, the Senderista State dared to denounce the origin of Conare. And Castello and the company decided to change their name, because the revelation became public knowledge and many doctors who joined them were deceived. Since 2018, Conare Sutep has been called the National Federation of Education Workers of Peru (Fenatep), but its origin and ideology are the same as in 2003. Twenty years later, it has already emerged, but it is still not understood.
