New Delhi: In West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party has played a big bet to surround Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. If the party is successful in this exercise, then Mamata Banerjee’s return to power is a distant thing, from Nandigram to her claim.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shuvendu Adhikari, who came in front of Banerjee, has lodged an objection before the Election Commission of India and demanded the rejection of Banerjee’s nomination.
The officer in his letter to the returning officer of Nandigram constituency alleged that Banerjee has pressed a criminal case against him, including the CBI case.
Shuvendu Adhikari alleges that Against Banerjee At least five cases are registered at various police stations in Assam, including Geeta Nagar, Pan Bazar, Jagrod, North Lakhimpur and Udharbond, a CBI case is also pending against them.
“I have informed the ECI. Now they would search and find out the cases. Let us see what actions they take, ”the official told the media earlier in the day.
However, a senior CBI official said that the woman named in the case is a separate woman and not Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The name of the accused was also Mamta Banerjee.
Significantly, the term of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly is being completed on 30 May 2021. There are 294 assembly seats here. There will be elections in 8 phases from 27th March. There will be 1,01,916 booths in West Bengal. The election dates are 27 March, 1 April, 6 April, 10 April, 17 April, 22 April, 26 April and 29 April. Election results will come on 2 May. Mamta Banerjee is the Chief Minister here for the last 10 years.
