It’s an important distinction, as Rodgers would be violating other protocols, including not wearing his mask at news conferences. When asked about that potential violation, Lafleur again made a distinction between “football space” and elsewhere in the building, “I said within my football space.”

Fox Sports reported Thursday night that the investigation is ongoing but that the NFL will not suspend Rodgers for any violations. Rather, he will simply be fined.

adams returns

Davante Adams, who tested positive for COVID-19 on October 25 and missed last week’s win over Arizona, was back in the building on Thursday. He remains on the official reserve/COVID-19 list – although the team expects him to play against the Chiefs.

“We are hopeful,” LaFleur said. “There’s a protocol he has to work through, and provided he’s able to do that, he’ll play.”

Wide receivers coach Jason Wreble said Adams was showing no ill effects from his bout with COVID-19.

Barry’s back too

Defensive coordinator Joe Barry, who also missed the Arizona game after a positive COVID-19 test, also returned — and conceded his team’s victory, and Russell Douglas’s final field interception, to end the game. His basement was difficult, where Barry was quarantined separately from his family.
