Blue Jacket 5-2 . Islanders use strong third period to top

NEW YORK ( Associated Press) — Kyle Palmiery scored at the start of the third round to lift the New York Islanders to a 5-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night.

Wahlstrom extended the Islanders’ lead to 2-0 after burying a feed from Zach Parris at 8:50. Barzal started the sequence with a swim backhand which Parris was able to corral into the offensive zone.

New York beat Columbus 10–0 in the first half of the opening frame.
