New Delhi: CBSE has canceled the tenth board exam due to corona in the country, but on what basis the students will be given marks, CBSE has prepared its formula. CBSE has decided that the result of the 10th board examination will be announced by June 20. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification.
In this notification, the policy for fixing marks for 10th board has been announced. According to the notification, 20 marks in each subject will be for internal assessment. The remaining 80 marks will be awarded based on the performance of the students in various examinations throughout the year.
CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said through the notification that for the year 2021 maximum 20 marks will be scored from internal assessment, 10 marks on unit test, 30 marks mid term exam and 40 marks on the basis of pre-board examination.
The board has also asked the schools to form an outcome committee consisting of the principal and seven teachers to finalize the result. This committee should have teachers of Mathematics, Social Science, Science and two languages. Together two teachers from neighboring schools will be elected as external members of the committee.
CBSE will take strict action against the schools on receipt of complaints of partial bias in awarding marks. Under this, schools can be fined or their recognition can also be canceled. According to CBSE, all schools have to upload the entire process related to their results online. This is being done so that the result process can be kept completely transparent. At the same time, students who will not be happy with the numbers obtained through this medium can be given the chance to score by giving exams.
Significantly, in view of the increasing infection of the corona virus, the board examinations of class 10 have been canceled this year. At the same time, the board exams of 12th have been postponed. This decision has been taken by the Union Ministry of Education to protect students and teachers from corona infection.
Earlier, CBSE had sent a format to all its schools for the results of the tenth board. In this format, information about year-long project work, assignments, etc. was sought in the school. Based on this, final result preparation will be done now.
