Boba Fett’s Book Canonizes George Lucas’ Star Wars Retcon

“In the case of Boba Fett’s death, if I knew he would turn into such a popular character, I would probably make him a little more exciting. Boba Fett was just another minion, another award-winning hunter and bad guy, ”says Lucas of a fan favorite that appeared in the 1978 animated film. After the problem is now-Legends row Dark empire comic confirms Fett survived Sarlacc, anthology Tales from Jabba’s Palace recounts Fett’s escape in the story “Such a Barv: The Tale of Bob Fett.” In this decanonized story, Fett makes telepathic contact with an earlier victim of the Sarlacc before using the weapons of his armor, including a jetpack and grenades, to force his way to freedom.
