Camacho is a right-wing opposition leader whose political alliance is with Kremos, the second opposition party in the Legislative Assembly.

Two weeks ago, his defense also filed an appeal for release due to health problems, which was rejected. The government assured that his condition is stable and he has received timely medical attention in the jail.
