Mumbai. In view of the increasing corona cases in Maharashtra, strictness has been imposed in the state. At the same time, due to the highest number of corona cases in Mumbai, all film and TV shootings have been stopped. Because of which once again, the clouds of crisis have started looming on the film world.
The ban on film shooting in Mumbai has deepened the crisis on many big films like Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan, Ranveer Singh starrer Crook, and Ajay Devgn’s film Maidan and May Day. Due to shooting in Mumbai, the work of these films has been stopped midway.
According to the information, shooting of Salman Khan’s film Tiger 3, and Prabhas starrer film Adipurush has also been put on hold.
The cost of each film is at least 100 to 150 crores, while the production and pre-production work of many films has started, then the sets of many films are completely ready.
Due to Corona, shooting of 20 to 25 big films has been discontinued. But following the Corona Guidelines, all the makers have stopped shooting. At the same time, trade analyst Komal Nath said that due to the rapid spread of corona in every film and TV serials unit, all shootings had to be stopped.
So at the same time, according to producer and film business expert Girish Johar, in Corona era, makers should add extra cost to the film budget.
Girish Johar further said that 15 to 20 percent of the budget of the films is being wasted in the Corona era. While Mumbai is the hub of content production, the closure of the shooting will not only affect artists and technology, but will also affect the work done on a daily basis.
Shifting many films out of Maharashtra is also a challenge.
Girish Johar said that even after planning small films, he can still set or shoot outside, but big films do not have any option.
According to Johar, producers can complete their shoots in eastern India.
The corona case in eastern India is quite low, but when, how, and how much shooting to do there depends on the makers and the content of the film.
