Universal Guaranteed Pension (PGU)
For 2023, the Universal Guaranteed Pension (PGU) provides a maximum amount of $206,173. This amount is aimed at people receiving a pension of up to $702,101. Anyone receiving a monthly pension between $702,101 and $1,114,446 will receive a contribution equal to that amount.
This government benefit provides $200,000 per month. It is particularly aimed at working people, both dependent and independent, who are responsible for caring for boys or girls under 5 years old. Payments began on September 11, 2023.
Guaranteed Minimum Income (IMG)
The Guaranteed Minimum Income (GMI) is one of the financial aids that brings in the most money. It is aimed at people who need to approach the minimum salary of $460,000. To be able to claim this benefit, one of the main requirements is that employees complete a working day of more than 30 hours.
Youth employment subsidy in Chile
The aim of the Youth Employment Subsidy is to encourage employers to hire workers between the ages of 18 and 25 who are in the 40% most socio-economically vulnerable. This is determined by the social budget register and payments began on September 29th.
