What is the Holiday Bonus?
The National Day Bonus is an economic contribution paid to employees in Chile as part of the national celebrations. Availability and quantity varies depending on the sector you work in, whether public or private.

To check if you are eligible for the holiday bonus, simply visit the official website of Chile Atiende and register your RUT. The system automatically provides you with the information you need.
Updated payment dates for 2023
This year the bonus payment dates have been changed. Here we present the new dates compared to the previous ones:
- If you previously received it on the 18th of each month, you will now receive it on Wednesday September 13th.
- For those who received payment on the 19th of the month, the new payment date is Thursday September 14th.
- Anyone who previously received it on the 21st of the month will now receive it on Friday, September 15th.
- If your payout date was the 22nd of the month, you will also receive the bonus on Friday, September 15th.
- If you were previously paid on the 23rd of the month, the new payment date will be Friday September 15th.
- Finally, if your payment was made on the 24th of the month, your new payment date will be Friday, September 15th.
Amount of bonus in the public sector
In the public sector, the amount of the bonus is calculated based on your net salary in accordance with Law No. 21,526. If your compensation is $943,703 or less, you will receive a bonus of $81,196. For those earning more than $943,703, the bonus amount is $56,365.
