Never in 150 times has a team down 3-0 in the playoffs managed to turn a series around in the NBA. He managed only three teams in that position, moreover, to force a seventh game of the tie … and they all lost when they were already close to a miracle.
The Boston Celtics’ numbers are damning, but a fact that is never mentioned in basketball has been achieved in Major League Baseball (MLB) and with the Boston team’s first: Red Sox Dominican David Big Papi Ortiz.
Joe Mazzulla stuck to the epic Celtics and added the first victory in the NBA Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday, after losing three games against the Heat (99-116). They won in Miami at the Kaseya Center and took the series to TD Garden for Game 5. They still need three more consecutive victories, against a rival who has shown an excellent competitive level, to complete what is a real sporting miracle.
It is a similar miracle that the Red Sox worked in the last season of MLB in 2004, when they managed to come from 0-3 in the series against the New York Yankees and were crowned champions.
Boston and the miracle of the ‘Great Pope’.
That team, with David Ortiz as MVP, came out strong at Fenway Park, winning Game 4 and Game 5, and then silenced the Yankee Stadium crowd of more than 55,000 in Game 6 and Game 7 of the series to forget.
Also at that time an unusual thing happened to the major leagues. The Red Sox advanced in the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, beating them 4-0 to celebrate their first title since 1918.
Fenway Park was filled that year with posters of the slogan We Believe to encourage David Ortiz’s team, which would add to the 2004 title in 2004 and 2013.
The Celtics are still a long way from that miracle feat, but they got off to a great start Tuesday in Miami to regain their composure and increase their impression of the Heat.
Miami, which plays a high level of basketball in these games, in which the Milwaukee Bucks have already eliminated Giannis Antetokounmpo, continues to have the home field advantage, but this defeat could change the dynamic of the series.

Jayson Tatum boosted the victory with 33 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics who regained the rhythm in the triple. 18 to 8 tied the Heat, triumphed strongly in Miami, to press his rivals. TD Garden, silent by the Heat in the first two games of the tie, will be the first again this morning starting at 02:30.
“We cannot relax, we must put the same level of intensity, intention, in the next game,” warned Celtic Hearts Joe Mazzulla.
At 34 years old and with the top bar left by his Predecessor Ime Udoka (NBA Finals 2022), the coach is involved in the blame for the processing and passage of the players in this season.
His team should prevail in the Garden to open the horizon to see him see the Heat on Saturday in the sixth hypothetical game.
Meanwhile in the West, the Denver Nuggets are waiting for two-time MVP Nikola Jokic’s opponent after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James 4-0.
The Nuggets, the best team in the West in the regular season, will play, starting June 1, the first NBA Finals in their history.
