A man has been charged with stealing a grant from the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, police said, trying to identify the suspect.
The man seen on camera stole donations from Jimmy Fund’s purple dinosaurs two days apart in the last two weeks.
The Boston Police Department is now seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect.
Police entered the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Benny St. on July 5 and then on July 9 and “noticed a purple dinosaur that was used to raise funds for the Jimmy Fund,” police said.
“Twice the suspect emptied the dinosaurs of all the paper bills before running on foot and entering the passenger side of the waiting gray sedan,” police said.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 9 inches by 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. She had medium length hair and was last seen wearing a blue tie-dye patterned shirt, gray shorts and white crochet shoes.
The suspect also had a raw hooded sweatshirt slung over his shoulder with the word “hand” written IMMORTA.
