Brazil is the main destination of Paraguayan forest products, with a volume of 1,732 tons (tons); followed by the United States of America, with 1,590 tons.; and Uruguay, with 1,337 tons. Next on the list are Germany, with 1,189 tons; Spain, 959 tons.; Chile, 836 tons.; and Israel with 735 talents.
It should be noted the collapse of forest exports by 21.7%, compared to January 2022, which in nominal numbers makes a difference of USD 1.3 million. In 2021, when the Covid-19 pandemic is still going strong, they would carry figures similar to this year, reaching USD 4.3 million.
The product with the largest export volume was coal and briquettes, which reached 9,262 tons, for a value of USD 3.4 million. This item increased by 69% compared to the previous year when they were transported and reached USD 2 million.
In second place, among the products with the largest volume is plywood, which reached 832 tons, for USD 736,000. These figures show a drop of 53% compared to the previous year, when a supply of USD 1.5 million was reached with this product.
In the third position is wood cutting, which reached 414 tons for USD 243,000, which is a 79% fall to the same period of the previous year, when this product was transported for USD 1.1 million.
Then in the table provided by Infona, it can be seen that the group of posts, posts and corners also suffered a drop in their exports, which reached 586 tons. for USD 158,000, which represents a negative variation of 1.05% in relation to January 2022.
The group of carpets and rugs also had a decrease in relation to the month of January last year, when it reached 61 tons in 2023. for USD 73,129, a decrease of 91.5%. Similarly, the group of works and parts manufacturers had a drop of 88.6%, exporting 22 tons in 2023, for USD 41,519.
On the other hand, the exports of cabinets, roofs and containers were registered for USD 38,000 and a volume of 30 tons. This group did not have ships in January 2022, such as wood and firewood, which were sent this year at a total price of USD 18,500 and 48 tons.
Finally, plywood had a slight decrease of 0.3%, reaching 92 tons this year. for $53,000.
