Brian Wilson: The Beach Boys and The Beatles have always shared love and respect

Brian Wilson says The Beach Boys and the Beatles have “always” shared “mutual love and respect.”

The hitmaker “God Only Knows”, who named Pepper’s “Sgt.” Lonely Hearts Club Brand “- his favorite album – showed that there was a close bond between the two legendary bands.

When asked to name his favorite record of all time, he told Mojo magazine, “I should have said ‘Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.’

“Obviously I love The Beatles and we have always had mutual love and respect for each other.

“They say he was born through listening to Pet Sounds … I don’t know … but I just love this album.”

The 79-year-old star was also asked what kind of musician besides himself he would like to become, and he admitted that the answer was not easy.

He said: “This is a tough question … I would put Elton John at the top of this list because of his voice and he is a great piano player. I also admire him as a person. “

And he praised the Rocket Man hitmaker even more when he asked him to name his favorite Saturday Night Recording.

He added: “Anything, rock and roll is a great Saturday night recording in every sense. I can’t pinpoint … what about Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting?

Good from Elton.

Brian loves his rock music now and he is considering recording an album in this genre as his next project.

He said: “I have wanted to record a rock ‘n’ roll album for many years. I have a few ideas, so hopefully I can do it next time.

“My favorite rock and roll band that I love is The Rolling Stones. They are always my favorite rock and roll band. I love them very much”.
