British Hollywood star dubbing coach Joan Washington dies

LONDON-The Hollywood star is paying tribute to voice coach Joan Washington, who announced his death on Friday.

Washington’s death was revealed by her husband, actor Richard Grant. He posted a video on Twitter. In the video, the couple danced to a song by Platter, with the text: “Only you! Joan-love for my life and for our daughter Olivia The giver of life. We lost your life last night and our hearts are broken. We have been married for 35 years and we have been together for 38 years.”

He did not provide Washington’s age or cause of death.

Washington is one of the leading vocal and dialect coaches in the UK and has worked with actors such as Anne Hathaway, Vanessa Redgrave, Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain. She also works on stage, including more than 80 works produced for the National Theatre in London.

Chastain, who worked with Washington on films such as “Debt” and “Crimson Peak”, said on Twitter: “My heart is broken. Joan Washington has had such a profound influence on me, yes, as a An artist, but mainly as a woman.”

Director and comedian Chris Addison called Washington “the secret of a million shows.”

Washington and Grant married in 1986. The couple raised a daughter and a son Tom through their pre-Washington relationship.
