Brooks & Capehart on COVID-19, Inflation, Sentence to Ahmaud Arbury

Right. And one of these prosecutors was accused of not doing her job.

This has happened in virtually every lynching that has happened anywhere in America, definitely before and during civil rights, when what happened to Ahmaud Arbury might have happened and the people who did it would get away with it. If they were arrested and brought to trial, they would be found innocent in a matter of minutes.

In this case, two prosecutors chose to do nothing. And so they had to travel all the way to Atlanta to find the attorney, Linda Dunikoski, who did such a great job relying on facts and not on what many attach great importance to the fact that she didn’t make the race real. a huge part of her business.

She didn’t need it. She believed the facts. And she trusted the jury. And many African Americans, including myself, although compared to the Rittenhouse case, I believed much more in what would happen in the Arbury case, but many African Americans foresee their fate, although we are not on trial, but we could – some – one of our loved ones could be Ahmaud Arbury.

Taking our destiny into the hands of 11 white people in the Deep South, given the history of this particular case, is a big request. And the fact that all three of us have been convicted, yes, it is worthy of celebration. This is a relief.

I agree with David. If they were found innocent, we would now have a completely different conversation. But we still need these conversations because what we are talking about right now, there are many people across the country who are thinking about what we are talking about, Critical Race Theory …
