In Canada, a bus crashed into a day care centre, seriously injuring children, said a spokesman for Quebec province’s emergency services.
Eight people, including several infants, were injured on the outskirts of the Canadian city of Montreal on Wednesday morning AFP,
Speaking about the incident in the town of Laval, spokeswoman Marian Lesser said: “There are still eight seriously injured.”
“Sixteen vehicles, including nine ambulances, are currently on the ground,” he added.
Laval police told AFP that “a large perimeter” has been deployed to restrict traffic around the partially destroyed facilities.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 08:30 (09:30 in Bolivia) and resulted in several children being trapped under the bus, from where they were taken away by rescuers.

The Sainte-Justine hospital, which received the victims, confirmed that several children were in critical condition.
At the same time, Quebec Public Security Minister François Bonnardel said that the bus driver has been arrested.
In pictures broadcast on television, the bus could be seen stuck in a part of the establishment.
A portion of the building’s roof fell on the front of the bus.
“I helped control the driver who got off the bus,” a parent told Radio Canada before breaking down in tears.
According to his wife, the man was “half-naked” and witnesses saw him “deliberately throwing himself into the nursery.”
Now, the police is probing whether the act was intentional.
