CADECA has notified this Wednesday of a change to one of its services: depositing cash on magnetic cards in Cuba.
“Available! Now you can deposit more than 40,000 CUP on your magnetic card in our branch network.
If you want to deposit up to 40,000 CUP, the service is completely free”, he announced on Facebook.
As per the details provided, if the amount exceeds the above figure, “the client will have to pay a commission.”
The network of currency exchange houses in Cuba remembers the importance of “requiring your receipt as proof of the operation carried out”.
What’s new about the service? In January of this year, CADECA incorporated this benefit in all of its offices in Cuba. However, he set a limit on the amount: “If the cash exceeds 40,000 kopecks, you have to go to the bank.”
From now on, currency exchange offices on the island will allow deposits of higher figures, as long as the client pays a commission for this.
Responding to user concerns, CADECA customer service specified that “recognition of cash will be on own magnetic cards” and “deposits to cards other than those of the holder are not permitted.”

This month, the entity finally approved the sale of dollars in Cuba for deposit on magnetic cards.
The new service can be booked through the Ticket application and allows the customer to make purchases of up to USD 100 on their card in real time.
