CaixaBank is launching a financing campaign for its customer portfolio, the bank announced on television this Sunday night. Specifically, it will reach some six million users of the unit and focus on specific, instant loans for the installation of photovoltaic panels, large-format TVs and the acquisition of vehicles.
Business proposals can be requested through digital channels as well as through the branch network from this Monday to July 15. The action comes at a time when interest rate hikes by the European Central Bank (ECB) are already making a dent in credit lending. Banks tightened lending at the fastest pace since the 2011 sovereign debt crisis, according to a Eurobank survey in the first quarter.
In the case of the Catalan unit, according to its results up to March, credit remained strong. New production remained strong year-over-year and all business segments grew: mortgages grew 6%, consumer loans grew 4% and commercial loans grew 21%.
Among CaixaBank’s clients, the entity clarifies that there are six million with available credit lines that will have special conditions for various projects. In addition, with this campaign purchase made with the MyCard card, you can split the payment over two months without interest.
Users availing the program for installation of solar panels will be eligible for financing between 0% and 3.9% TAE (equivalent annual rate) for up to 120 months. For this promotion, the bank collaborated with energy company EDP, which will help users design the installation and process available public assistance.
With regard to mobility offers, CaixaBank includes offers for leasing vehicles, which will have special terms for BMW cars. Finally, the list of home appliances includes large format TVs from Samsung, with financing available at 0% APR. According to sources in the institution, the aim is to strengthen its closeness with the clients and support them in their projects in the context of uncertainty about the available financing.
