Canadians invite 72 players to training camp

BROSSARD – The Canadian Hockey Club announced Tuesday the participation of 72 players in its training camp. This will begin next Wednesday, September 20 at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard, when the players will report in the morning for physical and medical examinations. Camp will continue until Tuesday, October 10, in anticipation of the first game of the season, scheduled at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, on Wednesday, October 11 against the Maple Leafs.

Of the 72 players, there are 39 attackers, 23 defenders and 10 goalkeepers. Forty-nine of them have an NHL contract, while 13 enter camp on an AHL contract. There are also four players invited through a professional trial and six players without a contract.

Coach Martin St-Louis, accompanied by his coaching staff of Alexandre Burrows, Trevor Letowski, Stéphane Robidas and Eric Raymond, will lead training, games and on-ice evaluations during the camp. They are joined by the Laval Rocket coaching group, led by coach Jean-François Houle, supported by his assistants Kelly Buchberger and Martin Laperrière, as well as Marco Marciano.
