“We want to enter the US market. We are currently working closely to find a location,” said Kurt Bachmeyer, Magna Steyr manager of “AutomobilWatch”. There are some prospects “that make us optimistic for both new manufacturers and traditional automakers”.
According to the newspaper, Bachmaier left the area open. “We look to see where we have enough qualified employees, where the suppliers are located, where we have the size and flexibility that we need.”
Magna Steyr makes vehicles for other manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Jaguar.
