Car sales in Extremadura decreased by 2% and in Spain increased by 19%

Sales of passenger cars and SUVs in February had one of lime and another of sand. Cal, because Badajoz registered the first falls of the year, and the sale of sands from Caceres increased.

In Extremadura, registrations in February increased by 2.3%, 649 cars with 664 in 2022, a significant decline because the average for Spain rose by 19.2%, with 74,001 cars SUVs.

By province, in Badajoz there was a decrease of 8.6% with the registration of 422 cars compared to 459 in February 2022, while in Cáceres there was a rise of 10.7%, registering 227 vehicles, while in February 2022 there were 205.

Breakdown: 42% gasoline, 32% hybrid, 13% diesel, 6% plug-in, 4% electric and 3% gas.

The leading brand in February sales in the country was Toyota, with 67 vehicles, followed by Kia (59) and Dacia (53). in the province of Pacensis, duke of Dacia (38); behind Hyundai and Kia (37). In Caceres the best selling brand was Toyota (33), followed by Peugeot (28) and Kia (22). At the national level, Toyota is the best-selling (as of the previous month) with 6,035 units.

In 2023, Toyota is the leader in the country with 146 vehicles, after Dacia (139) and Kia (120); in Dacia Badajoz (88), followed by Hyundai (86) and Toyota (84); and in Caceres Toyota is the new leader (62), after Dacia (51) and Kia (48). In Spain, Toyota is the leader, since January 2022, with 12,666 increases.

The models preferred by the Spanish clientele in 2023 were the Dacia Sandero (4,622), the second Seat Ibiza (3,001) and the third Toyota Corolla (2,788). In SUVs, the first Seats Arona (4,180), the second Peugeot 2008 (3,548), the third Toyota C-HR (3,516).
