Carolina Durante brought their twisted rock to Seattle to record a live session held with BIME, a professional music conference that seeks to promote talent and trends to create musical synergies among continent.
Diego Ibañez, Mario del Valle, Martin Vallhonrat and Juan Pedrayes represent Ibero-American music at KEXP, an American radio station that stands as a community center for music lovers. Thanks to their broadcast channels, they encourage the recording and delivery of special sessions that serve as a showcase for great vocalists and bands from around the world.
This live session, recorded in July, consists of four songs: Aaaaaa, La Noche De Los Muertos Vivientes, Las Canciones De Juanita and Casa Kira.
After the live performance, the presenter Albina Cabrera chatted with the band about their feelings in this first contact in the US, where they came directly from Latin America, where they presented their album Cuatro Chavales.
“In the last year and a half we’ve been in Bogotá, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico…”, they said before explaining that their conceptual sound comes “from the underground of Madrid.”
“We know each other from going to concerts,” they explained about those beginnings, when they were inspired by projects like Los Punsetes or Triángulo de Amor Bizarro.
