Causes chaos on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway

Federal highways and bridges (Capufe) reported a Starfruit in the Highway Mexico-Cuernavaca what to one severe traffic chaos and lines of several kilometers.

The traffic accident occurred this Saturday afternoon exactly at kilometer 51, affecting at least six vehicles.

“Traffic will be restored by reducing lanes. Staff are continuing to work on the cause of the accident. There are about 8 km of lines in the area,” Capufe explained via his X account (formerly Twitter).

Users have uploaded pictures of it on social networks Starfruit, as well as the long queue that resulted, which, according to federal authorities, was up to eight kilometers long. They even reported that oil had leaked on the highway shortly before reaching the scene of the accident.

One of the people affected by this situation on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway was political analyst Sergio Aguayo, who reported being stuck in traffic shortly before reaching the Tres Marías area.

“In any case, the incompetence and inefficiency of @CAPUFE is beyond doubt. If they are not the motorcyclists, they are the robbers or the checkpoints,” he wrote in X.
