Inside the premises of the CDMX Line 1 Metro, workers from the Public Transport System converted the station Balderas in the terminal for the next eight monthswith only one freeway, adjustments were made to the track structure and to coordinate the entrance of the trains.

“It allows us to get on the train via 2 from the Observatory to Balderas and leave via 1 from Balderas to the Observatory, it’s the change of lane, we had to make adjustments to our signaling and control system,” said Guillermo Calderón, Metro director STC

He explained that the structure assembled on the guide bars is made of stainless steelso it is completely safe and will support the transit of millions of users.

“The project is 800 kilos (kg) per square meter, no matter how many users we put in, it will never reach that level, and before installing it here, we installed it in our yards to test its stability, absolutely safe” he added.

The structure that will support the ascent and descent of passengers is made of stainless steel and wood coated with epoxy paint; They are almost three meters wide, which will support the entry and exit of train users.
