The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has declared the class 10 and 12 results today, May 14. Students who took the exam can now check their results on the official website of the board at cgbse.nic.in or result.cg.nic. in. They will need their application number and date of birth to check their marks. 74.23 per cent students passed the 10th examination and 79.30 per cent passed the 12th examination. More than 8 lakh students appeared in the CGBSE board exam, out of which around 5 students appeared for 10th and around 2 lakhs appeared for 12th.

According to the merit list released by CGBSE, Suman Patel and Sonali Bala topped the HS results by securing 592 out of 600 or 98.67 per cent marks. 5 students securing 2nd position with 98.17 percentile, 4 students securing 98 percentile securing 3rd position.

Students must keep their admit card with them before checking the result. Enrollment number and unique ID are written on it, which will be required to check the result. Step 1: Visit the official website of Digilocker or install the app from Google Play Store
Step 2: Next, students should sign in to their accounts using their mobile numbers
Step 3: If you are a first time user, click ‘Forgot Security PIN?’ Click on And enter your registered mobile number as well as your date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) as prescribed by CGBSE.
Step 4: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and login
Step 5: After successfully logging in, students should navigate to the ‘Issued Documents’ section of DigiLocker, where they will find all their Class 10 or 12 certificates.
CGBSE 10th, 12th Result 2022: What to check?
After getting their CGBSE Class 10 and 12 results, students have to cross-check all the details on the marksheet. This includes their name, parents name, score, subject name and application number. In case of discrepancy, students have to report to the Chhattisgarh Board immediately.
CGBSE 10th, 12th Result 2022: Passing Marks
In order to be declared passed in the board examinations conducted by CGBSE, students have to secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in each subject. As per the grade system, those scoring 100 to 91 marks will get Grade A1 between 90 to 81, Grade A2 between 80 and 71, Grade B1 and Grade B2 within 70 to 61 marks. Apart from this, those who get 60 to 51 marks between 50 to 41 marks in Grade C1, 40 to 33 marks between Grade C2, Grade D and 21 to 32 marks will get supplementary exam. and will be placed in Grade E1.
CGBSE will provide grace marks and bonus marks to the students for both class 10 and 12. Students who fail to obtain passing marks in one subject are given some additional marks for meeting the minimum passing criteria. This is called Grace Marks Policy. Students are awarded marks for extra-curricular activities including sports, NCC, NSS and other activities. Meanwhile, the bonus marks will only be considered for preparing the marksheet but not for the merit list.
This year, results will be declared for more than 8 lakh students. However, it is one lakh more than last year. Out of the total students who appeared for 2022, 2,93,685 candidates appeared in the 12th exam, while there were around 5 lakh students in the 10th board exam. In 2021, 2,71,000 students of class 10th appeared for the exam. This year the number of students appearing in class 10 has increased to 3,80,000. This is an increase of over one lakh.

To resolve the queries of the students related to the result and further career, the Chhattisgarh Board has released a toll free helpline service. Students can call on 18002334363 from 10:30 am to 5 pm to ask and clarify any query related to board exams. The helpline will remain active till May 23.
CGBSE 10th, 12th Result 2022: What happened last year?
Last year due to Kovid-19, students took the board exams from home. While 100% pass percentage was recorded for 10th, 97.43 per cent students passed 12th. The pass percentage increased significantly as compared to the previous years. In 2020, 73.62 per cent students passed 10th and 78.59 per cent passed 12th CG board exams. Whereas in 2019, the pass percentage of 10th was 68.2 percent and for 12th was 68 percent.
In 2021, the CG Board had adopted an all-pass policy. This means that students had to get minimum marks to pass 10th, 12th board. As a result, it did not publish the merit list or toppers last year. In 2020, Pragya Kashyap from Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh topped the CGBSE class 10 exam. Tikesh Vaishnav secured 97.80 per cent marks in class 12 exam in 2020, followed by Shreya Agarwal, who scored 97 per cent marks in board exams.
For this, the Chhattisgarh government will offer helicopter rides to the toppers of CGBSE 10th and 12th board exams. It was announced to motivate the students and to reward the meritorious. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had said that the move is aimed at motivating the students to perform better in their board examinations. The trips will be sponsored by the state government and will be provided to all the district toppers.
