In the middle of the long weekend, there are countless panoramas to enjoy the national holidays, and although there are still a few days left until the beginning of spring, there is still the possibility of rain that could complicate the rest days.
Rainfall, low temperatures and winds are part of the scenario for various parts of our country in the next few hours, on the two important holidays, September 18th and 19th.
In this context, the Chilean Meteorological Directorate (DMC) maintains a warning reporting normal to moderate winds for the mountainous area of Coquimbo, Valparaíso, the metropolitan area, O’Higgins, Maule, Ñuble and Biobío, ending Sunday evening.
A second warning warns of frost at normal to moderate levels for Patagonia in the Aysén region, considering this condition from Monday to Wednesday the 20th.
According to the DMC weather forecast, the northern area will have variable cloudy to clear skies with maximum temperatures around 20°, reaching 26° in Copiapó on Tuesday.
Partly cloudy and wind speeds of up to 40 km/h are expected for Valparaíso in the next few days.
In Santiago there is a chance of scattered showers on Sunday afternoon with a maximum of 14° followed by cloudiness on Monday and Tuesday.
Partial cloudiness is expected between Rancagua and Concepción, but the chance of rain is repeated on Sunday upon arrival in Temuco, where frost is recorded during the national holidays.
Rain is also forecast for Valdivia and Puerto Montt on September 17th. There would be light showers in Coyhaique on Monday and light rain-snow showers in Torres del Paine on Tuesday. There will also be light rain showers in Punta Arenas on both days of the festival.
